RECOVERY DEPARTMENT

The Recovery Department is responsible for ensuring that every rocket we launch returns safely back to the ground in one piece. Our main goal is to design, build, and test reliable recovery systems that protect the rocket’s structure and payload after flight.

Parachutes & Tracking

This involves developing parachute deployment mechanisms, ejection systems, and tracking solutions that activate at the correct stage of descent. The team works closely with the structures and avionics departments to integrate recovery hardware and electronics into the rocket design.

In short, the recovery team ensures that what goes up — comes back down safely, allowing us to reuse components, collect data, and keep pushing the boundaries of student rocketry.
